Books and TV Show Update

Hello there! Since I have posted last, I have been reading some great books and watching awesome shows. Currently I am obsessed with the TV show Arrow. Nikita is another action/adventure packed TV series. They are both so exciting:}. Inkheart and The Mysterious Benedict Society are also some books I have been reading. The Mysterious Benedict Society is a great book for young readers looking for some adventure. Inkheart is a beautifully told fairytale about characters from books coming to life. I hope you find this helpful if you are looking for a great read (or TV show).

Book Review

Book Review- Amy Hodgepodge The secret’s out

Summery-
While my friends and I were working on a group project for the Annual Spring Art Show, Pia told me a big secret. Even though I swore not to tell anyone, I accidentally let it slip to Lola. No big deal since we’re all friends right? WRONG! Lola told Jesse, and now practically the entire 4th grade knows! I’m pretty sure our project and our friendships are ruined………and it’s all my fault!
My thoughts-
I’m not really a big fan of friendship books but this one was really good. I give it a four out of five. Over all this book is great for a rainy day.
Characters
(If you had not read the book yet you might not won’t to read this)”spoilers”
Pia, I understand how she could be upset about her dad and her new mom having a baby because I have gone through a similar story. Though I don’t keep that a secret from my friends and I don’t know why she would. It is also really cool how all the characters work together.

Quotes:

Here are some great quotes that I either tweaked, or don't know to whom they belong.

:1: In rough times, may the people involved be pulled close to the Lord then be pulled close together.

:2: God makes the toughest soldiers be giving them the toughest battles.

:3: Everyone you meet is fighting a battle invisible to you, so remember to be kind.

:4: In order to succeed, your drive for success must be greater than your fear of failure.

Knock Down

After you finally get to the peak of that mountain that you were trying to climb after being pushed down constantly by life's troubles, you get The Knock Down. The Knock Down isn't the same for everyone. Right when you feel alright about life this is when The Knock Down happens. My advice to you is to pick yourself right up again. No matter how bad your Knock Down is, don't do things like I did. I moaned and groaned for everything to get better. Though when I thought about it I had to forget regrets and forgive mistakes even if the people involved, aren't ready to admit them. I looked to God and asked him to help me. And the one thing to remember through the whole roller-coaster of life is that each time you get knocked down, or pushed, each time you get up God makes you stronger. I know this through experience. I was not the person I was when I got on the life roller-coaster. God makes the toughest soldiers be giving them the toughest battles, have faith.

Merry Christmas!

Hello! Merry Christmas everyone. I am very happy that I am off of school finally. I also hope you are enjoying the holidays. Since I have been spending time with family, I haven't been reading a lot. Though I did just get the Ink Heart series. I can't wait to read them. And currently I am reading the third Mysterious Benedict Society.

"The Hill"

We all have or will have that "hill" in our life. I have had "the hill" in my roller coaster of a life where you keep feeling like you're going down hill and can't stop. You desperately try, but you can't slow down and you just want it to stop. There's no end in sight, and your life seems to keep piling up with bigger and bigger problems. Everybody goes through it, because life is full of sin and sadness. Trust in the Lord to help power your cart to get you back up that "hill" of yours.  I can start to see the top of my hill already. I know that once I get back up, I will have many more hills in my way but by the grace of God I will make it though them. :)
